    World Gazetteer: population figures for cities, towns and places
    Working for a GIS company means you have lots of people around you with college degrees in Geography (I have a BS in Geography from BYU) which means we all think we know tons of facts about different places in the world. To settle disagreements about a countries size or other statistics, I have found this site (World Gazetteer) to be quite useful.

    I've been doing so review of the Microsoft Solutions Framework (MSF) and really like a lot of it's principles. There are a lot of really good concepts in MSF for team based software development. I'm all for a "shared vision" along a team of peers with clear accountability. You can download the whitepaper and see for yourself it there is something to be learn from the "Microsoft way of doing things"

    Busy Summer

    Time is going by faster and faster... The summer is almost over and I've been really busy at work. I have just returned from a week in San Diego working at the ESRI International User Conference. The conference was a big success in my mind, there were around 13,000 GIS professionals at the conference and was a lot fun but hard work.
