    ArcReader 9.1

As I said a few weeks ago, the new ArcReader 9.1 is a really exciting release. And I’m not just saying that because I’m the PM. ArcReader 9.1 adds the ability to view not only 2D maps but 3D. The 3D maps (.pmf) are created in ArcGlobe using the Publisher extension. The 3D maps (Globes) can then be viewed in the free ArcReader application. 9.1 also gives you a swipe tool for easily viewing what’s under a layer in the map. ArcReader 9.1 is part of every ArcGIS Desktop and EDN box pus as a free download.

ArcReader as a globe viewer is great ! just want to add among the new stuff in Reader, the web service based Gazeeter (was in Globe 9.0 I think ?) a great example of what web service can add to desktop software, to bad it didn't make it to ArcMap 9.1 !
