ArcGIS Server REST and JavaScript APIs announced

One of the hot demos last week at the ESRI User Conference was the ArcGIS Server 9.3 REST and Java Script APIs.  Here's a post from Keyur who gave several demos of the REST API last week in San Diego.

    ESRI UC 2007

I'm here at the ESRI User Conference in San Diego.  The week has been busy yet fun.  Due to my recent knee surgery, I rented an electric scooter for use around the convention center this year.  It's been a great help as the conference is huge, there are hundreds of exhibitors in the showcase and even more sessions upstairs.

The developer focused sessions have been well attended and there's lots of excitement in the air about ArcGIS 9.2 for developers.

    Home Recovering

I had my ACL reconstruction and meniscus surgery on Friday and everything went well.  I'm home resting which means lots of ice and hours on a CPM machine to help exercise my new knee.  I'm hoping get back to work in a few days and work at least some of the ESRI User Conference next week in San Diego but I'll have to see how much progress I make this week.

    ACL Surgery on Friday

My season is over...  No more Friday night soccer for me. A few weeks I was taken down from behind on a break away and hurt my knee, I thought it was just a sprain but when the swelling didn't go away, I went to the doctor.  The original diagnosis was a turn meniscus and strained ACL / MCL.  But after an MRI, it was determined that I completely tore my ACL and have some meniscus damage.  So this Friday I'm going in for ACL reconstructive surgery and meniscus repair or removal.

Anyone been through an ACL surgery?  How fast did you recovery?

My interview with Brian and James

At the Developer Summit I took my turn in the ESRI podcast booth and interviewed good friend Brian Goldin and James Fee.  Here's the link the download - MP3
