World Bank: Less Than A Billion Now Live On Less Than a $1 A Day

One - The Campaign to make poverty History

According to new reports from the World Bank, approximately 985 million people around the world now live on less than $1 day, down from an estimated 1.25 billion on 1990.

Extreme poverty is often defined as living on less than $1 a day and the "over a billion" figure has found a home on many ONE Campaign materials.

I had to clean up some programs on my Tablet PC and in the process downloaded and installed the latest beta of Windows Live Writer.

This is a test post to make sure I have everything configured correctly.

Take a look at the directions from Google Maps for traveling from New York to London.

1. go to www.google.com
2. click on "maps"
3. click on "get directions"
4. type "New York" in the first box (the "From" box)
5. type "London" in the second box  (the "To" box)
6. Click "Get Directions."
7. Scroll down to Step #24.
