On Saturday, I competed in my first triathlon (Pasadena Triathlon). And can successfully report that I reached my goal of finishing in less then 60 minutes. I completed the 5k run, 15k bike, 150m swim in 59:32. I was 7th in my age group so I'm pleased with my results. And as a bonus, the triathlon was on the 9 month anniversary of my ACL re-construction surgery. So I want to say thanks to my surgeon Dr. Yu and the great physical therapy staff an Outback here in Redlands.
It was a lot of fun and I plan on doing another spirit tri in May and then moving up to the Olympic distance.
I'm in Palm Springs for the ESRI Dev Summit next week so let me know if anyone is up for a run or swim.
