I recently moved to a new office here at ESRI. I switched from the comfortable 1st floor to top floor (3rd floor) with a nice view looking west. Several people that also made the change have commented on the fact that we now climb more stairs and that's a good thing. Here's a recent post from Men's Health on taking the stairs more...
Take the stairs, America! New York officials are encouraging citizens to skip the elevator and do some flights to use less energy, but we're doing one better: EVERYONE should do it. You'll not only use less energy by halting the elevators, but the weight you'll lose will save energy to: Overweight Americans use more gasoline (because cars and planes are heavier), so if we lost the weight, we'd save billions
California wants to build a high speed, bullet style train that will travel between San Fran and San Diego. The train is expected to take upwards of $40 billion to build, but you’ll be able to make a 600 mile trip in a tad under 4 hours. see California High-Speed Rail
There are too many cars on the roads in California and that's not going to change till we have some options...
